Product Overview
The WAAL QE and XQ series are 3-port (3/2 way) quick exhaust valves designed for rapid exhaust of pneumatic cylinders. By allowing cylinder exhaust air to escape directly to atmosphere without passing through the directional control valve, these valves significantly reduce back pressure and increase cylinder speed.
Installed as close as possible to the cylinder port, quick exhaust valves are essential components for high-speed automation applications requiring fast cylinder response.
Working Principle
When compressed air is supplied to the inlet port (P), the valve allows air to flow to the cylinder port (A). When the inlet pressure is released, the spring-loaded diaphragm or piston opens the cylinder port directly to the exhaust port (T), allowing rapid venting to atmosphere. This bypasses the directional control valve and eliminates flow restrictions in the return path, increasing cylinder speed by 30-50%.
